IRON WORKS

The machine is an extension of the body.

(McLuhan)

Iron Works begins with my curiosity to enter a workshop where iron takes shape.

Rather than documenting labour in action, I photograph what remains when everything is still. Machines, tools and suspended forms retain the traces of human gestures, revealing a quiet choreography of iron, light and labour. The workshop becomes more than a place of production: it is a space where knowledge is passed on, where transformation begins, and where the presence of those who inhabit it lingers even in silence.

Working with film allows me to slow down my gaze and observe the workshop as a place of memory rather than industry. I invite the viewer to look beyond the machinery and discover a landscape shaped by relationships, craftsmanship and the continuous transformation of matter.

Iron, light and weight quietly shape the space.
