Practice

My photographic practice explores transformation as a space where different forms of existence meet and reshape one another. Photography is an embodied practice through which I explore what shifts within and how lived experience becomes image.

Each project begins with a personal experience that reshapes my way of being in the world. Rather than illustrating that experience,

I use photography to let it reveal itself. Across my work, I investigate the relationships that emerge when body and nature, light and matter, presence and absence enter into dialogue. Each series seeks to make visible what cannot be fully expressed through words,

creating images that invite contemplation and personal reflection.

Technique and aesthetics are essential to my practice, but they always remain in service of the artistic inquiry,

allowing each work to stay faithful to its initial impulse.

Biography

Elisa Perotti is a visual artist whose photographic practice explores transformation as a space of relationship between the body, nature, light, and matter. Born in Umbria and based in Turin, she holds a degree in Cultural Heritage with a specialization in Contemporary Art History and completed her photographic training at the John Kaverdash Academy of Photography in Milan.

Her practice combines observation, personal experience, and visual language to investigate what emerges when different elements enter into dialogue. Her work has been exhibited in Italy and internationally, including in New York, Arles, Saluzzo, and Moncalieri.

The diptych Peonies, from the series Fields of Light, is part of the collection of the Fondazione Maddalena Di Giacomo in Venice.
