HOT IRON

Hot Iron begins with my encounter with designer Daniela Boni and a dialogue with her iron light sculptures.

Over the course of more than a year, I work with women from different creative backgrounds, building a relationship with each of them that becomes an essential part of the project.

I am interested in what happens when the human body meets a material that, by its very nature, is capable of transformation. Iron loses its original function and is no longer simply a lamp;

the body, in turn, is no longer just a body. Through their encounter, both are transformed, giving rise to new forms in which matter, light and gesture become a shared visual language.

I explore the tension between the feminine and metal, softness and strength, not as opposing forces but as elements seeking balance through transformation.

I invite the viewer to look beyond what the body and iron are, and instead consider what they become together. In this liminal space,

transformation becomes a way of reflecting on relationships, identity and the possibility of moving beyond opposites.

The Circle Cycle series reflects the symbolic nature of the circle — a form without beginning or end — where body and object enter a silent dialogue.
